HOW TO SHOP THE SALES

[Red_shoes_pic.jpg]
A purchase is only a bargain if it fits in with the rest of your wardrobe, suits you and you can afford it. Buying odd pieces because they are on sale will just sit in your wardrobe and never be worn.

Before you go shopping know what you have in your wardrobe and know the areas you need to add to.

Look for good classic staple items i.e. a black suit, cashmere jumper, wool cardigan/jacket, white blouse.

Update your existing wardrobe with accessories - shoes, belts, bags or jewellery.

Check out the returns policy on sale goods if you are unsure when buying something.

DONT impulse buy.

DONT buy anything you need to slim to wear.

DONT buy anything without trying in on first.

Outfits MUST flatter your colour and shape. Dont go for fashion garments for the sake of fashion.

TIPS FOR LOOKING STYLISH IN THE SNOW

The snow is great but be careful where it is icey. Wear flat shoes and boots with a grip preferably rubber soles. Wellies are making a huge comeback with many designs available in high street shoe and clothes shops.

Dress in layers, think functional, make sure your clothes fit well and allow freedom of movement, keep warm and dry.

Hats, scarves and gloves add warmth, brightens up practical outerwear and adds a sense of fun and style.

For business, over dress your work clothes with a coat over a jacket and for women wearing skirts wear really thick tights or leggins (you may want to take these off once you get inside). Wear boots or sensible shoes outside and take a change of shoe for work.
