What a successful day.

During the week I met all the models for a fitting at the 12 shops involved and we all met for a rehearsal the evening before.  










On the day the 15 models went to Alex at Ciscos Karma hairdressers for their hair then went to the Thistle Hotel for the fantastic Aveda girls to do their make up.

We had another rehearsal at midday at the Thistle Hotel so that our hosts Guy Lloyd from Juice 107.2 and Sophie Corbett could see the format.

The girls and boys modelled brilliantly in the 3 shows during the Saturday afternoon showing the Spring/Summer fashions that Brighton has to offer.  The audiences then made their way to the shops to see more of the stock and buy pieces from the catwalk.

The Pure fashion event at Olympia last week was bursting at the seams with all the design houses offering their Autumn/Winter 2015 stock to the buyers of the stores and boutiques.

I took Carol out for a wardrobe update and in 3 hours show bought 15 pieces and with these new clothes alone she can make 55 different outfits. Carol already has a pair of knee high boots and a selection of heeled and low shoes to change the look for different occasions.

TIPS for SHOPPING in the SALES

Here are my tips following my chat with Danny Pike on BBC Sussex on Monday 22nd December

A purchase is only a bargain if it fits in with the rest of your wardrobe, suits you and you can afford it. Buying odd pieces because they are on sale will just sit in your wardrobe and never be worn.

Before you go shopping know what you have in your wardrobe and know the areas you need to add to.

Look for good classic staple items i.e. a black suit, cashmere jumper, wool cardigan/jacket, white blouse.

Update your existing wardrobe with shoes, belts, scarves and jewellery.

Check out the returns policy on sale goods if you are unsure when buying something.

DONT impulse buy.

DONT buy anything you need to slim to wear.

DONT buy anything without trying in on first.

Outfits MUST flatter your colour and shape. Dont go for fashion garments for the sake of fashion.

Have fun and bag a bargain.
